Over the past 150 years, the magnetic north pole has wandered more than 1100 km, and may end up in Siberia in 50 years. The strength of the earth's magnetic shield has dropped 10% over the same period. Perhaps something we're doing is affecting the magnetic shield? Perhaps we should err on the side of caution.
