$510.00

Welcome!

This is a very rare and stunning pin made by the renowned Ben Eustace of Zuni and Cochiti Pueblo. In the early 1960s Ben Eustace became very famous for this type of work though this is a top notch, superb and rare example. It is very highly valued and in great demand. He carved the leaves by hand based on what the stones told him. He was born in 1920, a Zuni silversmith, noted for his nugget and leaf jewelry and in fact the Eustace family is known as the developers of silver leaf jewelry as well as carved turquoise, coral, and shell into floral and leaf forms, bezel set in silver. The stamped raindrops are made with Ben Eustace's personal sagebrush stamp. Ben Eustace believed the stones had spirit and one must treat them with respect because they are alive and part of Mother Earth. His work was collected by C. G. Wallace. When he married his wife Felecia Jones, he moved to her Pueblo, Cochiti, and they had 13 talented artistic children

I have two other pins as well which are pendants and enhancers. I've shown a picture of the other two together so you can see their relationship. I also have some of his rings in my store also available separately. This fabulous pin measures 1-1/2" x 1-7/8" and weighs 13.11grams. This one is not signed but it is clearly his work, using his own personal stamps on the raindrops. It is in great condition, showing only a small amount of age related wear. Condition is excellent vintage, wearable and collectible, with natural carved stones of coral and turquoise and exquisite silver work.

It is a masterpiece, the natural stones are fantastic, and the pin is of museum quality.
