Neat old large candy tin. This reads “Mellomints / Absolutely Pure Sugar Confection / Satin finish trademark / 5 Lbs. Net Weight”. I don't know exactly when this particular tin was made but it appears older than most that are currently on the market. I'm guessing it's early 1900's. It's a neat red/orange color and the branding on it is quintessential antique candy advertising. I wish I knew what these tasted like.

This tin is quite worn, dented, stained, and the seam is loose. I cleaned the outside but didn't do much to the inside as it's got it's original paper liner and I didn't want to further damage it. You could remove the liner and clean it better inside. More cleaning on the outside will remove the finish. This looks old but could work beautifully for a decor aesthetic where old pieces with visible stories are celebrated.
