Rare Dutch Model 1895 Marines Bayonet. Measures 18.5" overall with a blade length of 14". This bayonet is similar to the Infantry version except that the grip fastening device is a unique screw and plate arrangement for tropical conditions and the cross-guard has a hook. These bayonets were issued to the Marines and are rare. Very good condition showing some age patina, wear, use. No scabbard. Excellent press-stud mechanism. Has 2817 Serial no on cross-guard with crown over E and T on the ricasso and the pommel, Opposite side of ricasso shows a Steyr marking. See photos.
