You are offerding on a huge original antique print from an 1880s illustrated journal.

It depicts the coronation of Alexander III at the Cathedral of the Dormition, in the Moscow Kremlin in Russia. You can clearly see him placing the crown on his head.

Alexander III (Aleksandr III Aleksandrovich; 1845 – 1894) was the Emperor of Russia, King of Poland, and Grand Duke of Finland from 1881 until his deathin 1894. He was highly conservative and reversed some of the liberal reforms of his father, Alexander II. During Alexander\'s reign Russia fought no major wars, for which he was styled \"The Peacemaker\".

The Cathedral of the Dormition (Uspensky sobor), also known as the Assumption Cathedral or Cathedral of the Assumption is a Russian Orthodox church dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos. It is located on the north side of Cathedral Square of the Moscow Kremlin in Russia, where a narrow alley separates the north from the Patriarch\'s Palace with the Twelve Apostles Church. Southwest is Ivan the Great Bell Tower. Separately in the southwest, also separated by a narrow passage from the church, is the Palace of Facets. The Cathedral is regarded as the mother church of Muscovite Russia. In its present form it was constructed between 1475–79 at the behest of the Moscow Grand Duke Ivan III by the Italian architect Aristotele Fioravanti. From 1547 to 1896 it is where the Coronation of the Russian monarch was held. In addition, it is the burial place for most of the Moscow Metropolitans and Patriarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church.

It is very large (double folio size), measuring approximately22 x 16 inches (56 x 40.5 cm). The picture fills most of the page, with a caption below. There is unrelated text/photos on the back of this print.

The print has a fold in the middle, where it was folded into the magazine long ago. Note that the fold line is clean and undamaged, because it was \"tipped\" into the binding. This was a luxury binding technique of that era, because the double page prints were free of binding holes down the center.
