RARE! Mioplosus FISH Fossil 50 Million Years Old Massive Mantle Piece
This fossil was dug by my wife and I in SW Wyoming, it is a massive mostly complete Mioplosis Sp. about 10 inches long with a great example of the spine preserved well in a nice large block of stone with 2 milled edges, over 2 inches wide so it sits up nicely on either side.
Prepped professionally in Kemmerer by a local company with Butvar 76 museum grade resin to preserve the fossil. Would be great on a mantle, bookshelf, or other woodwork I have seen lot's of creative pieces made with these. It is fairly large with the pen and lighter for scale and heavy.
