The yellow 1500 is the most famous pencil in modern history. Before it’s debut at the Worlds Fair, pencils were not painted. This new painted yellow pencil revolutionized pencil design in a way that is still seen today. The company also developed the famous “H” “B” and “F” grading system for lead hardness.
