Rare Hyannis, Massachusetts Cape Cod Souvenir CommemorativePlate - made in England.This transferware platemeasuresapproximately 9 1/8" inches across, and has a white backgroundwith blue images. The plate hasa decorative border illustrated with various Hyannis area landmarks, and a centralimagefeaturing the Oldest Windmill on Cape Cod. The back of this platecarries the manufacturer's marks: "The Rowland & Marsellus Co. - Staffordshire, England -- Designed & Imported by Megathlin's Drug Store - Hyannis, Mass.".

This plate is in excellent condition for its age - there are no chips, cracks, stains, marks or repairs anywhere on this item. Typical of antique china, the plate shows minor, fine crazing in the clear coat glaze. Any reflection, distortion or shadow in the photos is the result of camera and lighting issues.
