The event began with speeches bymembers of the Young Lords Party (YLP) andthe Black Panther Party (BPP). Theconcert that followed washeadlined by Ray Barretto,Hector Lavoe and several of the Fania All Stars.The event drew 20,000 attendees and raised fund to support the release of Puerto Rican political prisoners.
