from the Lee tag this workwear shirt is late 50s/early 60s. The vintage market being what it is, please remember that these plain deadstock Lee shirts sell for $200 - $400 if you can find one.

I've only found trace of this design once before, and it was a used workshirt. This is one of three unused, still with original tags pins, and creases. never worn, never unfolded.

Originally from the Naragansett Brewery in Providence, Rhode Island, purchased from an estate collection.

Even the retro workshirts that Gansett makes currently use the logo patch design from the mid 70s (when it was sold and about to be run into the ground- strange decision) These have the simple bold "hi, neighbor" patch as the only branding. Absolutely gorgeous shirts that you'll likely never find again, certainly never in this condition.

I'd originally planned to frame the three shirts in an acrylic shadowbox for display as a readymade objet d'arte because of the gorgeous design. But, instead I decided to make them available as separate pieces since I won't be keeping them.

This listing is for the darker grey graphite color shirt with the wider lettering on the patch, likely an earlier shirt than the olive workshirts. The tag is slightly different as well, matte instead of glossy, thinner, and it has a few different markings. (Superior Fabric instead of Superior Quality, no ® or M.R next to Lee, and an ASH instead of a 1 next to the union stamp. No holes seen, no wear seen and no musty smell to the fabric. Overall a very clean shirt that just stepped out of a 70 year time capsule.
