Born inTexas in 1943, Amado Maurilo Pena Jr. is of Mexican and Yaqui descent, and hisheritage is a large source of inspiration for his artwork. Amado Maurilo PenaJr.'s drawings and paintings represent Native Americans and their ties to theland. Pena studied art at Texas A & M and went on to teach art at highschool and university levels. His artistic work earned him the designation ofArtisan of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona.

Amado Maurilo Pena Jr.'s drawings andartworkpresent a variety of mediums to express the relationship betweenpeople and land, including pastels,watercolors, mixed media, andlithographs. After completing high school and college in NJ we have beenfortunate over the next 50+ years to travel and live extensively in the US andalso spend lots of time internationally. During all this we have acquired manyunique and interesting articles. While these contain many memories for us, wehave reached a point where we cannot keep them part of our daily lives so wehave decided to work to find them homes where they can continue to provide somehappiness.

Not everything we offer is ours. We have found that many ofour neighbors, friends and acquaintances’, particularly those “technologychallenged”, have the same need as we to downsize. To help them we try to placesome of their items.
