Very good working condition.
This compass was manufactured by the TOA electronics company who were founded in Kobe, Japan in 1934. They continue in business focussing mainly on high end audio equipment.
DuringWWII the company produced a comprehensive range of equipment for the military, including compasses such as this. Production, given the english lettering was likely pre-war, however the item on offer was returned to Canada from Japan post the \"Made in Occupied Japan\" era by a member of the Canadian Military there stationed claimed as \"the spoils of war\", Interesting background from information gleaned.
