AZURITE w/ CHRYSOCOLLA: Morenci Mine, Morenci, Greenlee County, Arizona, USA. Dimensions: 5.0 x 3.3 x 2.0cm, thumbnail. An attractive, royal blue sheaf-like bundle of Azurite sits perfectly for display on tiny orangish spheres of Goethite and isolated to interconnected, light blue-green balls of Chrysocolla that makes up a colorful trio form this famous mine in Arizona! The 2cm Azurite bundle is composed of numerous, scintillating, needle-like crystals with sharp points. There are several dozen balls of Chrysocolla from 1 to 3mm across that are loose or slightly interconnected that cascade down the front of the piece. The piece is aesthetic and well composed, augmented by the super high luster of the Azurite due to the fact that the individual crystals are sharply formed with bright, very obvious crystal faces with pointy ends!
