This is a rare vintage Japanese porcelain set of 3 wise monkeys made into individual toothpick holders. Also known as the Hear See Speak No Evil monkey trio, this image was made famous in Japan by the Edo era artist Hidari Jingoro who carved a wood transom of these monkeys at Nikko Shinto Shrine.
The condition is very good with no chips, cracks or repairs. It would make a great gift for anyone who collects monkey memorabilia or especially this motif.
