A really strange looking specimen with caramel brown serpentine, veins of radiating willemite, hydrozincite, franklinite and a few spots of what appears to be red fluorescent bustamite. The willemite is fluorescent green, the hydrozincite is blue-purple and the black franklinite is non-fluorescent. UV photos are all shortwave. Photos 7 & 8 show the phosphorescent response of the radiating willemite. Measures 4\" x 2\" x 1-1/2. Weight is 11 oz. or 316 grams. Collected in Franklin, NJ.
You must have a 254nm shortwave UV lamp to best view the fluorescent response of this specimen.I always combine shipping whenever possible. UV photos taken with a 70-watt Engenious Designs Nightstick. A flashlight will not give the same response. I ship by 2-day or 3-day USPS Priority Mail. I carefully pad and pack each item securely in a cardboard mailing box. I do not offer a gift box or gift wrapping. I include a label and/or any old labels with each mineral specimen.
