Beautiful workmanship by Navajo Ray Tracey with his sterling silver hallmark of Knifewing. Tracey learned his craft as a child from his elders but turned to acting in TV and movies in 1970\'s. Tired of that, he moved to New Mexico and became a professional jeweler, winning many awards in Santa Fe Indian Market and elsewhere. His work is found in several fine galleries today.
This handsome buckle is 2.5 in. x 3 in. and weighs 47 gm. The oblong stones are turquoise and lapis. It is a sleek and elegant piece.Can take up to 1 1/4 in. belt.
