CELESTINE w/ CALCITE:Laman celestine deposit, Qala e Naw District, Badghis, Afghanistan. 5.0 x 4.0 x 3.3cm, miniature. A trio of gorgeous, rich glacier blue, stout, prismatic crystals of Celestine grace a tan tinted Calcite matrix on this great miniature from this new discovery from a year ago. Really good pieces like this are few and far between and they are difficult to find in general. This lovely miniature features a main crystal 2cm tall and 2.1cm across that is super gemmy and super lustrous! The blue color is just stunning and contrasts nicely with the finely crystalline Calcite matrix! There are two other companion Celestine crystals that are a lighter blue with turoffer interiors and don't have the same luster as the larger crystal. Select faces also show some slight etching. This is a very well composed and colorful piece at a great price if you've seen these available at shows or online! Buyer pays reduced USPS Priority Mail shipping.
