LTC James L. Kincaid SIGNED 1944 World War II Photo

Inscription appears to read: "To Capt John Lummus in deep appreciation of his splendid service in the Vesuvius Operation, Naples, Italy." It is dated April 1, 1944.

LTC Kincaid was instrumental in the aftermath of the volcanic eruption during World War II.

Photo measures approximately 7" x 9 1/4".

Photo has uneven edges. There is discoloration, marks and some creasing. There is heavier discoloration and some writing on the reverse side. There is surface tearing to the reverse side as well.
