Specimen description: This is an aggregate specimen of Wolframite (tungsten) variety Ferberite. Color of the specimen is brown/black with some luster plus blue, yellow colored, and reddish/purple? iridescence on a pitted surface from windblown sand. Florescence\'s purple under wavelength 365 nm. ultraviolet light. Has sub-metallic luster and has flow lines plus a big gas tube on the reverse. Origin: Victorio Mining district New Mexico. Comes with adjustable display stand and label as shown.
