If I tell you what I see in this I might spoil your own natural interpretation of it...to me it is POP ART of color...these mid century textile designs so reflective of a movement of minds changing...a sense of freedom to be...a structure of ease that allowed artists to let their hairz down...we had always had revolutionaries who inspired art and change...but the 50's design revolution was like nothing seen before...it was a watershed moment in design and how it reflected science...space and biology in the sense of biomorphic abstractism mixed in with space age details...it was quite remarkable...the designs themselves something of a icon...but the crazy use of color in that form is to me what I call design POP ART...a coming together of changing times...reflective of the people...the movement and inspiration of art and design like no other...still today we have yet to experience the boom of a design watershed moment like what happened in the 1950's...
This offering is for ONE unused unwashed remnant of a very iconic pattern...showcasing abstract bugs...a super rare unused original old stock premium thick and nubby barkcloth. A mix of avocado greens intermixed with chartreuse honeydew electric lime...a POP of coral red...movement of black and white in the ground...and abstract lines and curves that travel through the colors like electricity...with white accents. Expect unused old stock 1950's...a chance to transport yourself back in time!
