Description: Fine Vintage Signed Harry Morgan Squash Blossom Necklace Sterling+Turquoise 116g
Harry Morgan was a 5th generation silversmith born and raised on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona.He is best known for reviving traditional Navajo design in his jewelry and was the recipient of multiple awardsfor his pieces. Morgan's work is characterized by his utilization of patina and older motifs.
Necklace features multiple colors of turquoise and spiny oyster which are secured with wire-wrapped bezelsand topped with five hand-stamped concho beads. Sand-cast Naja terminates in two hands. Reverse stampedwith H. Morgan maker's mark.The Naja and stones are attached to double-strung bench beads.
Approximate Measurements: Necklace measure 26" in circumference, 13" on either side of Naja. Naja is 2 1/4" in diameter. Stones range in size from 1 1/8x1" to 1/2x3/8." Item weighs 116g.
Condition:Fine, vintage condition, as found. Very natural antique-inspired patina throughout consistent withMorgan's work.Please see photos to best determine overall condition.
