Over the past 18 months we've seen a good amount of material come out of this mine. There is a LOT of pure yellow calcite and there is plenty of barite/calcite pieces but in so many of them, the barite is damaged or cloudy.
This piece features multiple perfectly transparent, gorgeously smoky crystals of barite on the famous Elk Creek calcite. The piece can be displayed horizontally or vertically and each gives a different look.
What always seems to happen is that material comes out and people shrug it off, but years down the road it becomes highly sought after. Get a great piece now while the prices are reasonable. This could go for many times this price just a few years from now.
