Welcome to Hero Rations! Since 2020, our small business has strived to create the BEST WW1 and WW2 US and German military issued ration out there! As a former reenactor and current militaria collect and WW2 historian, I was always disappointed at the market for edible, well executed WW2 rations. I didn't want folks out there using tuna fish cans, inkjet printed PDFs and club crackers anymore. I wanted to make the best of the best for anyone interested in history. I've faithfully reproduced the D Ration from WWII. Perfect for anyone reenacting, living history, or just plain interested in what our troops are during WWII. I’ve painstakingly researched and copied rations based on exact ingredients and packaging using original components for the look and design.
Made exact to the original WWII recipe - our chocolate D Ration holds up under warm conditions, breaks by hand just like originals, in a faithfully reproduced cardboard container and even has that “gritty” texture.

Made to order using real chocolate cocoa fat, course oat flour, dried milk, vanilla and sugar using a double boiler and 3-D printed mold copying the original specifications.
I have made a few different boxes Wrigleys, Peter Callier Kohler and Hershey’s so box may vary but will be correctly wax coated just like the originals.
