JUNG-INSTITUT ZURICH SEND THEIR CONDOLENCES TO ANOTHERJUNGIAN ANALYST AND SCHOLAR WHO TAUGHT AT THE INSTITUTE.

CARLJUNG (1875-1961) TYPED LETTER SIGNED BY ALL FIVE FOUNDING MEMBERS OF THE C. G.JUNG INSTITUTE, “C. G. Jung”, "C. A. Meier", "K.Binswanger", "Liliane" (Liliane Frey-Rohn). and "JolandeJacoby",1 pg,8.5 x 11.5, February 3, 1950, on C. G. JUNG-INSTITUT ZURICH letterhead, written to Dr. Rivkah Scharf Kluger (1907-87) who was Carl Jung'sstudent and collaborator who taught at the Institute in Zurich,and lectured widely in Europe and America. Carl G. Jung was the Swisspsychologist and psychiatrist who defined personality types such as introvertsand extroverts and developed the theories of the collective unconscious andarchetypes. He was initially a close follower and acolyte of Sigmund Freud, butbroke with the famous founder of psychoanalysis to pursue his own brand ofanalytic psychology. In his 1921 work, Psychological Types, Jung laid out his theories on the relationship between theconscious and unconscious, and explained his famous classification ofpersonality types. The letter is also signed by four others: Carl Alfred Meier (1905-95) Swiss psychiatrist, Jungianpsychologist, scholar, instrumental in the founding and first president of theC. G. Jung Institute in Zurich.As a successor to Carl Jung, he held the Chair of Honorary Professor ofPsychology at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in 1949. He later,co-founded the Clinic and Research Center for JungianPsychology in Zurichberg. "The contributions made by professor Meier to the history anddevelopment of Analytical Psychology are unmatched by anyone except for Junghimself". Kurt Binswanger (1887-1981) Founding member, traininganalyst and lecturer at the Jung Institute and the first president of the SwissSociety for Analytical Psychology. Lilian Frey-Rohn (1901-91) was a Jungian analyst and oneof Carl Jung's closest collaborators. Her book From Freud to Jung stands out as a work of specialimportance. She is also the author of a widely read work : Friedrich Nietzsche: APsychological Approach to His Life and Work. Jolande Jacobi (1890-1973) She is remembered for her workwith Jung and was influential in the establishment of the Jung Institute. Comeswith the original envelope. The letter translated, in full: "The sad news of yourmother's death filled us with great sorrow. Since you are away from your familyat a great distance, her passing must be particularly painful for you. Wetherefore feel the need to assure you of our deepest sympathy. With kindregards, The Board of Trustees of the C. G. Jung Institute." This extremelyrare letter with the collection of all five signatures of the founding membersof the C. G. Jung Institute, and writtento another Jungian analyst and scholar who taught at the institute, is inexcellent condition, with the usual letter folds and one tiny foxing spot. #13080ZUIE
