We have both, the Apollo heavy weight hammer, as well as the earlier "lightweight" hammer.

The Heavy hammer was used on Apollo 14 to 17.The Lightweight hammer was flown on Apollo 11,12 and 13.(see our other listings for this version)
This copy of the heavy hammer features a display base, inspired by astronaut, Dave Scott's demonstration of gravity fields, while on the lunar surface during his Apollo 15 mission. (See video above)Dave dropped the hammer, and a falcon feather, to show how gravity acts on all object in the same way. The falcon feather was chosen, because the name of the Apollo 15 Lunar Lander was named "Falcon".The display base is cast in a durable polyurethane plastic, with a simulated falcon feather.
The heavy hammer is serial numbered starting with 3001 (originals were 1000 series)Note: We have been receiving multiple request for when these will be available and this is a very limited run of only 20 of each style. (8 of which are already sold)
These are machined in 6061 aluminum, as per print specifications, with hollow aluminum handles, and steel heads, vacuum metalized with aluminum, per original specification. The original blueprint also requires the aluminum coating to be removed from the hammer face, as well as the chisel end.
Each hammer has the correct Part & Assy. numbers and serial numbers starting with OS/N 2001 (originals were 1000 series)
