This is a VINTAGE 1984 DRINK COASTER from the U.K. ADVERTISING A “WIN A FLIGHT ON CONCORDE” CENTENARY FLIGHT CONTEST, sponsored by NEWCASTLE BREWERIES, LTD., in honor of 100 years of brewing in Newcastle. Entrants could take a chance on being selected for the August 26, 1984 flight by correctly answering several questions on the coaster’s reverse side, and mailing it to contest headquarters.The nearly 40-year-old coaster is in GOOD to VERY GOOD CONDITION, with NO DRINK RINGS. It does show expected edge wear, rubs and marking, probably from being stored in a box with other items. The Concorde’s last flight was in 2003 - this may be the only coaster like it still in existence! It’s a great gift for any aviation or breweriana collector!
