Incredible large Victorian Advertising sign, circa 1880s, die cut and embossed with 3-dimensional insert. Advertising for Prime City Dressed Beef at the Reading Terminal Market. Gorgeous color, nice deep embossing, very clean back. Visual of a bird perched just outside of birdhouse, landscape filled with beautiful flowers and a windmill in the background. Second bird attaches with working tabs that fit into slots on bottom of background, with flower stalk in beak, depth of "pocket" that is created from putting on attachment is about 3". So pretty. Slots for tabs are still in great shape, minor wear, no tears, no stains. the second birds right wing has 2 creases (see last listing picture) other than that no significant condition issues to note. Approximately 15.5 inches x 10.5 inches. A special piece to add to your Victorian die cut or ephemera collection. Will ship in archival plastic bag for ongoing preservation and or storage ,in between cardboard and bubblewrap.
