* There are two (2) pieces in this item:- Handwritten/Signed Letter - This is a one-page letter, with writing on both sides, making it a long letter. The letter is dated August 1852 while in Hebron, Connecticut (See 3rd Photo).- Engraved Photo of John Samuel PetersCondition:
The Letter has heavy edge ware. Edge lines have some denting, creasing, chipping and tears. Corners have rounding, crushing, creasing, dog-eared folds and tears. Aside from heavy overall creases, there are some heavy folds from possible mailing purposes. Soiling/darkening is heavy and more severe along the heavy folds and border.
The Engraved Photo has a thin piece of paper (possibly for protection purposes) affixed to the left edge line. The left edge line has heavy chipping and denting. The other edge lines have moderate ware. Corners have moderate rounding and crushing. Overall creases are moderate. Soiling/darkening is moderate.
