Location/Address:The station was located on the east side of Turnberry Street (Brussels Line/County Road 12, at CN Road

Surrounding Building Context:The community was founded as a rural agricultural service centre for the surrounding farming community. Several mills were established on the banks of a tributary of the Maitland River. The arrival of the railway did result in some industrial growth (see map for details). The station was located to the northeast of the commercial centre, on the edge of the community. Railway uses include large coal and other sheds, a busy large stock pen and a section house.
