Thisis a nice reproduction of an originalWWII photographshowingBritish soldiers preparing to fire a PIAT (Projector, Infantry, Anti-tank) launcherduring fighting in Normandy, France on 9 June 1944.The PIAT was kind of a cross between a bazooka andoversize rifle grenade and unfortunately was a terrible weapon, with extremely short range and very poor accuracy. It did require a great deal of bravery to employ to any effect, asyou had to wait until the enemy tank was just about on top of you. Great photo!Size of photo is about5" x5" .
