As you can see in the pictures, the shade appears to set on top of the bracket. There aren't any associated screws or screw holes in the bracket. However, this is a sturdy and well made piece and the shade sits atop the bracket nicely. We mention it as we aren't sure if the previous owner changed to a new bracket/shade holder or if the lamp comes this way. We found an exact match online where the shades sits exactly like this one.
