This product is a vintage Victorian framed photograph of a Christmas display at a general store, featuring dolls and doll parts, garland, a large belsnickle, ornaments, fur coats, coin purse display, chairs, lamps, a dapper man, and a woman holding a doll’s head and gazing at it forlornly. “I know you want a child, Emily, but until we pay back your father’s loan with interest for the shop, it will have to be lambskin. Now put down that head, we have customers!”

The photo is original but was previously removed from an album (see photo) with resulting wrinkles as shown and a slight lifting of the image in the center, again as shown. The back has been removed from the frame so I cleaned the glass, replaced the photo, backed it with a lightweight matte that is buffered and acid free (pic with the sharpee pointer), replaced the prior backing and sealed it properly with framer’s. Each step shown in pix. I can’t stand to see good paper get ruined being backed with cardboard, know what I mean paper people?

Approx 7”x6”, see images of the frame. This is a very unusual photo, I’ve never seen one with a candid shot of mercantile during Christmas like this, nor could I even find one online.
