Item up for sale is an impressive pair of vintage binoculars made by Sans & Streiffe. Left shoulder of the pair is marked "Sans & Streiffe #805 All Star" with the right shoulder marked "8 x 40 , 7.1 Fully Hard Coated G 173232". Lenses could use an interior and exterior cleaning with glass showing no cracks or breaks. Body of the binoculars show some soiling and patina and could use a detail cleaning. Center hinge functions as it should. Leather neck strap is attached showing patina and surface crazing from age. Strap shows an old repair using thread. All metal on the binoculars shows patina. With hinge fully extend this piece measures 5-3/4" top to bottom by 6-7/8" wide. With the binoculars was found was found the original leather Sans & Streiffe marked case. Case shows surface wear and loss (most notable on the back side) as you can see in photos with discoloration area (most notable on the lid) with patina and soiling throughout. Original strap on the case was broken with some remnants remaining attached. Clasp strap shows wear and tear to the leather and should be used with caution.
