The estate that this piece came out of gave the information that it is a vintage, hand carved soapstone sculpture which came from Africa. I am stating that here as I cannot verify any of that but will say most other items out of that estate were fairly accurate with the description.The sculpture depicts an African tribal female dancer.The piece stands approx. 10 1/4" tall and the base measures approx. 4 1/4" x 5".Piece weighs right at 3.25 lbs.It could use a good cleaning.I have tried to put enough pictures to give an accurate idea of how she looks.If you would like additional pictures or info please just ask.If interested in these type sculpture I will also be listing a male tribal drummer also tonight.
