VINTAGE CHINESE INCISED GREEN-GLAZED PLATTER ~ QING ~ DRAGON & CLOUD~ w/ STANDA large oval platter with angled corners covered in a green glaze. The central panel is incised with a dragon amidst cloud scrolls. The platter is covered in green glaze with three stilt marks under base.
This antique platter measures 10\" x 8.25\" in size. It has light surface wear to the central panel. It\'s in very good shape without any chips, cracks or hairlines. The glaze has taken on a slightly iridescent hue with age. There are a couple of spots on the lower right edge where extra clay stuck to the platter during the firing process. They are under the glaze so they were stuck to the clay during the firing process when it was originally made. It was a small defect during the creation of the platter, not damage that happened after it was in use. Qing dynasty era. The stand is not original to the dish but will be included with this sale.
