VINTAGE 7\" HINGED INK-WELL ENGLISH STERLING SILVER:

This is a rare English sterling silver silver ink-well. The ink- well has a very wide base so it would be unlikely to be knocked over. The lid is marked with the lion passant for sterling silver and the date letter \"m\". There is a dent on the back of the lid near the hinge and also in the front. These are very small as you can see in photos. The ink-well measures 7 inches in diameter and a height of 2 1/2 inches. The well is 1 inch deep and 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The weight is 1 pound 08.2 oz. No cracks, breaks or repairs.This is a beautiful piece!
