A Cover ( Letter) to the Clerk of the Court of Comon Pleas

in Delaware Ohio

Postmarked in Nashville Tennessee Oct 25 1863, CDS and a Target ( Bullseye ) cancelation ties a great pair of attached 3 cents George Washington stamps Type A25 of the period. Looks like Scott # 65.

Paying the double postal rate of 6 Cents.

The Cover is inscribed (recorded ) on the left side probably by the Court Clerk with a date of October 27 1863 ( It arrived 2 days after posting )

Cut opened at left and it has 4 light hinge marks on the back. Probably when it was mounted in a Collection,

The light Crease on the left could have been also done when it was filed and Recorded by the Court.

Unfortunatly there are no Contents inside.

I am a longstanding member of the AMERICAN PHILATELIC SOCIETY. The lots you see on my are genuine and described to the best of my ability. On rare occasions mistakes do happen. I will do my best to correct them and make things right in any way I can. There is a 30 Day return policy for most of my lots. There is no refund of the postage costs unless I made a mistake. Large and Mixed Lots, that due to their nature are impractical or outright impossible to describe in full are offered as NO RETURNS. They are NOT returnable. Also the exception is, If I made a major mistake, wrong lot etc.
