This is an UNBUILT, heavy papermodel kit of NASA's Space ShuttleLaunch Pad 39Ain 1:72 scale,designed to fit Revell/Monogram, Brookstoneor any1:72 Space Shuttle with Boosters models and Edu-Craft*Diversions' 1:72 scaled Mobile Launcher Platform (not included, but available online). Extremely detailed and accurately researched.
Pad 39A is shown with EduCraftDiversions' Shuttle era 1:72 Crawler Transporter and MLP andare not included, but areavailable online. This heavy PAPER (60lb. COVERtest stock) model includes:
- 1 set of160 quantity 11"x17" color laser paperparts sheets, ROLLED .
- 1 CD containing the130 pageAssembly Procedure Manual inPDF file.
The above is what is included... 160 11x17 paper parts sheets and 1 procedures CD.
The parts sheets are packed rolled, not flat.
The heavy paperis tested and deemed best for precision and other factors. After gluing, laminating, folding and assembly, it bears up strongly. Suggestions for other scales would be welcome. More details available at the Edu-Craft Diversions online. The paper does not weight 60 pounds, that's just it's strength rating.

Over a year and a half in development --- Initial design completed during the STS 135 final Shuttle mission...This exhaustively detailed model is recommended for advanced builders, but if the Apollo LUT can be handled, then 39A shouldn't be a problem. Replacement parts sheets will be sent at little or no cost. The build time would be akin to 3 Apollo LUT models, butthis can be drastically reduced (by about 75%) by eliminating the myriad of walkways and add-on structures and still yield a worthy launch environment for your Space Shuttle. The add-ons can then be installed at the builder's discretion.
Bare bones kit to reduce costs to you... No packaging... Comes rolledin a USPS Priority package. Includes160 parts sheets and130 pageinstructions manual CD. Lay the sheets flat at room temp under a load (books) for72 hours or so.
