Located in the border area between Cameroon and Gabon, the Bulu are part of the larger Fang group.Like the Fang of southern Cameroon, who are famous for their large white masks, the Bulu also practiced the Ngil ritual to combat witchcraft and poisoning.
Ngi is the gorilla, a formidable animal with which the initiate identifies after being accepted into the secret society.
