This is a new sticker featuring the flag of the former Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, which existed from 1987-1992. This particular flag is recognized as the period of leadership under Mohammad Najibullah (PDPA), a period of National Reconcilliation policy. Najibullah was somewhat successful in bringing some national unity among the leadership of different warring factions in Afghanistan, as well as stabilization of the Afghan military; however, the withdrawal of Soviet troops and advisors caused that path toward unity to fall apart, paving the way for the Mujihadeen/Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.

Sticker is 5\" x 3\", printed on 6 mm vinyl. Union printed (CWA Local 6300) and made in the U.S.A. Liquid laminated. Good for a minimum of 5 years in direct elements (rated for 10 years).
