Rare vintage 8X 10 color NASA photo. NASA - S - 73 27160. Watermarked on back “ This Paper Manufactured By Kodak”
Skylab 1/2 TV photo . Photo depicts Astronaut Charles Conrad Jr. Skylab 2 commander at the controls console. The photo was taken May 31, 1973.
Skylab, America's first space station and the first crewed research laboratory in space, lifted off on May 14, 1973, on the last Saturn V rocket. Although the Soviet Union orbited the first experimental space station called Salyut in 1971, the larger and more complex Skylab enabled research in several areas.
While quite well preserved this photo is vintage and may show signs of age. Very nice overall. It came from the private collection of a gentleman who worked for NASA 30 plus years .
Please see photos for more details. Thanks for looking and have a great day.
