Comes with full DVD with entire short documentary meant for advertising.

This is a very rare one of a kind 16mm film lasting 12:46 minutes that was produced for the Desert Inn Hotel in 1955. It gives an overview of all of Las Vegas and is narrated by Hugh Douglas.

To our knowledge this footage has never been released.

There is even a short clip with Desert Inn owner Wilbur Clarke at his desk minding his every day tasks of running the hotel.

The hotel opened in 1950 and was imploded in August of 2000 after 50 years of great Vegas Nostalgia.

The film covers the air port, the strip, the Desert Inn Hotel, Golf Course, Pool, Valley of Fire, Lake mead and Hoover Dam.

This film has been in our family since 1955. It was involved in a house fire however the film stayed protected by the can. We just made this DVD which shows it is still high quality and was not affected at all by the fire outside of the original case.

Also noted in the film is former musician Johnnie Ray smoking a cigarette with friends by the pool.
