This is a personal find in Brazos County Texas within a Manning Geological Formation, Eocene ageexposure.Mennegoxylon (a.k.a snakewood) is a long extinct tree species with a grain that looks identical to snake skin when viewed in cross section. Rarelyfound in only a few small areas within Texas and Louisiana.

This natural item has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, but not altered in any other way.
