Dated from the iconic Baltimore Playboy Club, which opened its doors in 1964, this original metal key is marked BL 19103, signifying its authenticity. Measuring 2 1/4" in length, the key remains in good condition. See images for small scuffs on the front and back of key.

From 1960 until 1966, when Playboy transitioned to plastic key-cards, these rabbit-headed metal keys were essential for club entry, symbolizing the elite status of being a "keyholder" with an annual fee of $25. Not only did the key grant access, but in some clubs, it also functioned as a credit card presented to the Door Bunny.

The Baltimore Club, operational until 1977, was a famed venue that hosted legendary comedians like Flip Wilson and Richard Pryor, and singers including Jerry Vale and Al Martino. Frequented by celebrities such as Robert Mitchum and Joe Namath, the club was a key stop for notable figures passing through Baltimore. The Playboy bunnies, recognized as mini-celebrities, actively participated in community events, including parades, charity golf outings, and visits to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center alongside stars like Cab Calloway and Bert Parks.
