Moldavite (alsocalled Bouteille Stone or vltavin) is a natural glass that is believed to haveformed in the heat of an asteroid impact. This event occurred approximately 15 millionyears ago, and a splatter of hot glass formed a strewn field across central Europe.

·The fragments measure about 15mm to 20mmlong (1.5cm to 2cm) long and may differ slightly from what is pictured in thephotos (i.e. some are rounder, some are flatter).
