Lower Palaeolithic - Rare UK found scraper. c.450,000 BP.A wonderfully ancient feeling, acheulean end scraper. The ventral face has a faceted flaking pattern with the edges displaying some retouch. There is a perfect thumb hold on this face! A rare, earlyartifact. Some rolling/ softening of surface over countless millenia which is reflected in the price. Great value.
