Lower Palaeolithic - Rare UK found scraper. c.450,000 BP.A superb acheulean broadly ovate scraper. The dorsal face has a profusely flaked distal end that has retouch and much edge use. The ventral face has good percussive bulb with a series of large removals to shape around the distal end.With wonderful ancient, deep ochocolate brown patina. A beautiful display artifact.
