Up for sale is an original vintage 1865 CDV. The CDV is an authentic original pulled from the Civil War period album myself. It was trimmed to fit in the album it was found in. The condition is as shown above, but the image is very nice and clear. It is about 3 5/16" wide by about 2 1/16" tall. It does have a vertical crease about at the center of the card, but does not effect the image.In decent condition for its age, as shown above.I have looked at it with a loupe, and high magnification, and it is a real CDV image, and not any modern reproduction. Everything in the album it was found in was also of this same time frame. Other Lincoln cards were found along with this one including some Washington/Lincoln memorial type CDVs. This image almost never shows up. The last CDV of this one sold in 2022 at Heritage for over $5,700. That is the only copy of this one I can find without digging out and going through my printed sale catalogs. We have already had several offers on this image. Full insurance is required as is signature confirmation, which is figured into the shipping cost. Any extra shipping would be refunded once shipped.
