This is a vintage antique sample of barbed wire fencing. This sample features an unknown patentee. This wire is called "British WWII Entanglement Wire", by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 23-E). This wire features a single round stiff line wire. Barbs are four pointed made from two barbing wires wrapped together six times around the line wire. Wire sample shows moderate pitting. Sample is 18" in length. There are two barbs which are well spaced, and cut is well centered. There is some bending of barbing points but no broken or missing points.We have listed other antique barbed wire samples, and will gladly combine multiple purchases for shipping, when paid on the same invoice.
