This GORGEOUS cotton and silk Victorian crazy quilt is all hand appliqued and hand embroidered, with an unusual use of hearts, charms, and center boot in one block.It measures 56" X 70" and is good/fair condition, with loss in many of the silks -- see pics.
The piece consists of backed blocks treadle machine together (two layer), without an overall back, binding or batting.
The WONDERFUL SMALL SCALE APPLIQUE and DEEP BLACK BACKGROUND make this late 19th century COLLECTOR'S PIECE stand out!
